Description
Soil macrofauna communities were evaluated in September 2016 in an experiment evaluating integrated agricultural production systems located at the Canguiri Farm of the Federal University of Paraná in Pinhais, Paraná, Brazil. Samples were taken in four land use systems: 1) an agrosilvopastoral system with rows of Eucalyptus benthamii and maize cropping in the summer and black oats in the winter, followed by three years of Panicum maximum pasture grasses in the interrow; 2) an agropastoral system with maize cropping in the summer and black oats in the winter, followed by three years of Panicum maximum pasture grasses in the interrow; 3) a permanent pasture Panicum maximum; and 4) annual cropping of maize in the summer and black oats in the winter. Each of these systems was replicated 3 times, and three samples were taken in each plot. Samples were taken using the standard methodology of the Tropical Soil Biology and Fertility Programme (TSBF), where soil (down to 20 cm depth) and litter fauna were hand-sorted from monoliths of 25x25 cm, and the abundance of a total of 42 taxa was assessed.
Data Records
The data in this sampling event resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 36 records.
2 extension data tables also exist. An extension record supplies extra information about a core record. The number of records in each extension data table is illustrated below.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.
