Description

The Coleção de Referência de Fauna de Solo of the Instituto de Biologia de Solo has mainly animals of the Collembola class (Arthropoda: Hexapoda), with specimens from Brazil and from the Neoarctic, Paleoarctic and Indomalasia regions. It plays a relevant role in the study of cave springtails in the country. The more than 20,000 specimens are divided into troglobites, troglomorphs, holotypes, paratypes and adult individuals, all diaphanized and mounted on a microscope slide.

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 336 records.
